Bittersweet Sunday

Well, today -- after nearly four years, the first of which we counted in weeks-to-go -- Stuart hung up his duck quacker and I packed away the crayons and stickers...and we bid farewell to our Sunday School kids and classroom.

Since our church is changing the format of the service/Sunday School and combining the kids' programs into one, it kind of eliminates our "jobs," so to speak.

It was an odd (and sad) feeling to think we were doing our Sunday School routine with the kids for the last time.

But the kids are excited to begin the new program so we'll take our bow and leave quietly (exit: stage right) with only a few sniffles...and photos.

Of course.

*wink-grin*
