I'm a sucker for soppy television shows. Put in a cute animal and some kids, and I'm a-gonner emotions-wise. The way that a story can bring tears or laughter or rage or fear is such an interesting "power" to study. It's probably one of my favorite reasons to write.
The "worst" type of television-viewing for me is watching a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. The ads in between the already tear-jerking movie...well, enough said, right?
Sigh.
I took an advertising class in college and really enjoyed learning how advertisers evoke emotions from their viewers. I reflected on the sweet commercials we reviewed during that time, figuring out which ones worked and which ones didn't.
Here's one that I remembered that really worked. The proof? I still remembered it.
Blog-hopping with Tillman today. Something fun...and a first for me.

Favorite Family "Ad"dition
Happy Monday!
This was by far my favorite ad from yesterday's Super Bowl. Fun with an awesome message.
Still digging out from Saturday. They're calling for more snow tomorrow or Wednesday. Ugh.
Oh, well. Another new episode of 24 tonight. More adventures for Jack, I think. It's been a very exciting season thus far.
Back to grind, I'm afraid.
Enjoy your Monday!

Sweet Super Bowl Sunday!
SUPER BOWL LXIV
We're not football fans. We're not Colts or Saints fans. We're not even fans of beer or Doritos.
But we LOVE the Super Bowl...and all the silly ads and snicky-snacky treats that come with it.
It's like a friend on Facebook said, "It's a cultural event -- an American iconic moment -- etc., etc. Heck, I don't like football and even I watch it and graze accordingly!"
'Zactly.
So feast we did. And enjoy we did. We even understood and followed the game.
The silly ads....
Hmm...
Some were not so good. We had to mute many of them. And/or switch the channel.
So much for a "family time."
Still, another "fun time was had by all." *wink-grin*
One of my favorite-most Super Bowl ads:

Friday Funnies
A classic in funnydom!
I love funny commercials, and this one is no exception!
I worked as a temp several summers and Christmases at an ad agency and took an advertising class at university. I would have loved to go into that field if I was more clever and competitive. The best part of the class? Previewing all the silly commercials!
Enjoy, and have a funny Friday!

"Ad"ing Some Fun
Found these goodies over at BennyBlog. This video is the second version of the commercial, played in Brasil. Definitely worth a watch, or two.
Now if only we could afford one of the cars...
Do you think the cars come with their own private Kiefer?
